A SUNDERLAND man accused of attacking a woman will stand trial.
Alexander Dunn was at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court where he faced a charge of assault.
Dunn, from Portsmouth Square in Pennywell, also faced a charge of causing criminal damage, relating to a pillar worth £50.
Both allegations are said to have happened during the same incident on April 17.
The 48-year-old pleaded not guilty to both charges and will be back at the court on September 24 for his trial.
He was released on bail and ordered to stay out of a street in Thorney Close.
