BLACK Cats defender Titus Bramble has been banned for 12 months for speeding.
The defender was also ordered to pay £2,480, after his case was heard at St Helens Magistrates’ Court, Merseyside.
He previously admitted twice breaking a temporary 50mph speed limit, between junctions 26 and 27 on the M6, near Wigan.
The 29-year-old was clocked travelling at 57mph in his BMW on January 27, last year, and 61mph the following day.
Bramble, believed to be nursing a leg injury in Los Angeles, was criticised by the district judge for not turning up for the hearing, despite the court’s efforts to accommodate him by setting the hearing for a date outside the football season.
