THE son of a couple found shot dead in their home has been charged with their murder and attempted murder.

Businessman Nic Seddon, who is also known as Stephen, will tomorrow morning appear before magistrates in Manchester charged with the murder of Bob, 68, and Patricia, 65, at their home in Sale, Manchester.

The attempted murder charge relates to an incident in March, when Seddon, his parents, and his nephew Daniel, 16, crashed into a canal in the city while in a car being driven by the 45-year-old.

He was arrested on Saturday night at his home in Benevente Street, Seaham, by armed police.

His parents were found dead from a single gunshot wound on Friday afternoon.
