Sat nav, tools and radio stolen from Sunderland boat

THIEVES stole items from a boat which belongs to a city yacht club.

The theft happened at Sunderland Yacht Club, in Roker, between 10.30pm, on Wednesday, September 3 and 11.45am, on Friday, September 5.

The thieves used a ladder to scale a boat at the club and steal items from on board.

These included: a Raytham auto helm; a propeller hub; a Garmin sat nav; various hand tools; a Horizon radio; a Clipper depth sounder and rope.

Inquiries are underway and police are keen to speak to anyone with information.

This includes anyone who may have been offered these specialist items for sale or knows of their whereabouts.
