POLICE are appealing for information after up to £12,000 worth of prams were stolen in a burglary.

The burglary happened overnight between 4.30pm on Monday, October 7, and 10.15am on Tuesday, October 8, at Nursery Thyme in Bridge Street in Sunderland.

Between 10 to 15 prams priced from £350 to £800 were stolen. The makes of the prams taken include Babystyle Oyster Classics and Surf.

It’s believed the offenders used a vehicle to make off with the prams and officers are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in Bridge Street overnight to contact them.

Police are also urging anyone who is offered a pram for sale, either by door to door salespeople or approached in the street, to contact them.

It could be the sale is genuine, however, if police are aware they can carry out enquiries and it could lead to identifying those responsible for the burglary.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
