POLICE investigating the deaths of James and May Stokoe are satisfied that there was no third party involvement after a post-mortem was carried out today.

At 4.20pm on Wednesday, police were called to an address on Hylton Castle Road after a relative reported concern for the welfare of the couple. Police and paramedics attended and the pair were found dead in a bedroom at the property.

Post-mortem examination results have confirmed that there has been no third party involvement in the deaths of the 79-year-olds.
