POLICE have seized motorbikes after a blitz on off-road riders.
Operation Drift has been launched in Washington to put the brakes on antisocial use of motorcycles in parks and streets, causing nuisance and a danger.
Extra officers are being deployed to the area, on foot and bikes, with body cameras to take footage of nuisance motorbikes to both identify offenders and be used as evidence.
Since the initiative began on July 1, four motorbikes have been seized.
Five people have been issued with Section 59 notices, warning riders that if they continue to drive antisocially or dangerously, their vehicle will be seized.
