Police hunting raiders after an aggravated burglary in Sunderland

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Sunderland.

Between midnight and 1am on Wednesday, May 27, police received a report of an aggravated burglary on Pensher Street, Sunderland.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

Following enquiries, it is believed this may have been a targeted incident.

However, there are extra officers in the area to provide reassurance and are continuing investigations.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to contact them on 101, extension 69191, quoting reference number 0069 27/05/15 or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
