Police hunt after slap attack on dog walker

POLICE are hunting a woman after a slap attack on a dog walker in Sunderland.

A couple were walking their dog between Marine Walk and Roker Terrace at 7.45pm last night when they were approached by a man and woman who stopped and spoke to them.

An altercation took place and the woman slapped the dog walker across the face before she, and the man she was with, made off from the scene.

The woman is described as being white, in her mid 20s and around 5ft 10ins tall. She is of stocky build and has shoulder length black hair and a star tattoo on her neck underneath her right ear.

She was wearing black leggings and a long black jumper.

The man she was with is described as being white, around 21 years old and 5ft10ins tall. He is of slim build and had medium length untidy brown hair.

He was wearing a dark sweater, dark tracksuit bottoms and pink socks with white plimsoll shoes. He was carrying a an orange JD sports bag.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference number 023104R/14.
