DETECTIVES hunting murder suspect Graeme Jarman have received hundreds of leads of possible sightings of the 47-year-old.
Officers today said they have had more than 200 calls from the public since they appealed for help to find the convicted sex offender, pictured, who they want to speak to in connection with the murder of Hexham pensioner Judith Richardson.
Detective Chief Superintenet Neil Adamson, of Northumbria Police, said: “We have had a really positive response from the public and we thank everyone who has called in.
“We have now had hundreds of calls, and each one is being followed up to see if we can identify a confirmed sighting of Jarman.”
Miss Richardson, 77, was found after being bludgeoned to death with a hammer.
Anyone with information about Jarman’s whereabouts should call Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043.
