Fire at Zeba takeaway on Hylton Road.
RENEWED calls have been made for information after an arson attack destroyed a Sunderland takeaway.
Reports were first raised of the fire at Zeba, in Hylton Road, at 1.54am on Tuesday.
Inquiries into the fire lead police to believe it was started on purpose.
They are appealing for anyone who was in Hylton Road in the early hours of Tuesday, and who may have seen anything, to contact them on 101, ext 69191. Neighbourhood Inspector Mick Hall said: “We are carrying out inquiries including checking CCTV and speaking to residents in Hylton Road.

“Anyone who knows anything about how it started or who is responsible is asked to contact police straight away.”
