POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an ice cream machine was stolen in a burglary in Sunderland.
It happened between 8am on Tuesday, September 10, and 10.30am on Wednesday, September 11, when thieves broke in to The Roker Park Cafe at Marine Walk.
They removed the padlocks from the pod and stole an ice cream machine worth around £3,000.
The machine is around 3ft by 2ft in size and orange coloured, with three handles and two black lids on the top.
Neighbourhood Inspector Tony Carty said: “This machine is worth thousands of pounds and is important to the livelihood of the business. It’s a distinctive machine and I’d urge anyone who knows it’s whereabouts or who has information about the burglary to get in touch.”
