At about 6.26pm yesterday, police were called to reports that three men and two women were fighting in a front garden in Padgate Road, Pennywell.

Officers believe two of the men and a woman involved in the fight then went to a property in nearby Poole Road.

It was outside that address that they became involved in a further altercation with a fourth man who had not been involved in the earlier disturbance.

Four men, aged 22, 33, 35 and 42 were arrested, along with a 43-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl.

During the fight a 42-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back and was taken to hospital with minor injuries, he has since been released.

Nobody else was seriously injured during the incidents.

It is believed all those involved were known to each other.

Inquiries are ongoing into the incidents and police want to speak to anybody who was in either Padgate Road or Poole Road and who witnessed the disturbances.
