A MAN was slashed on the face and chest during a pub brawl.
The 28-year-old was stabbed during an attack in the Jolly Potter pub on Railway Terrace, South Hylton, on Saturday night.
He was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital where he received treatment to the slash wounds.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Two men, aged 33 and 34, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to commit GBH.
The attack took place at about 9.15pm.
