A MAN sent extreme porn to undercover police believing he was communicating with a woman with similar perverse “tastes”.

Durham Crown Court heard officers found Peter Kelsey’s computer had 52 indecent images of children and 84 featuring extreme pornography.

The court heard images had been sent to an undercover officer working with Child Exploitation and Online Protection.

Tony Hawks, mitigating, said Kelsey was remorseful and seeking help. The 37-year-old, formerly of Hawthorn and now of Chapel Row, Philadelphia, admitted 16 counts of making an indecent image of a child, one of possession, two of distributing such material and one of possessing extreme pornography.

Judge Christopher Prince imposed a three-year community order with supervision by the Probation Service and a sexual offences protection order, without limit.

He has to register as a sex offender for five years.
