A man arrested after the death of Sunderland baby Reggie Young - who was bitten by his family’s dog - has been re-bailed.
The three-week-old died from his injuries after being attacked by the terrier-style animal at the Ford Estate home he lived at with his parents in June.
Hundreds of mourners turned out for the tot’s funeral at Sunderland Minster last month.
An inquest into Reggie’s death was formally opened and adjourned at Sunderland Coroner’s Court last month and is set to resume later this year.
A man aged 30 was arrested in connection with the tragedy.
Northumbria Police have confirmed that he answered bail today and has been re-bailed until a later date.
