Walker, of Cornhill, West Denton, Newcastle, will be sentenced next month and has been warned he is facing a long prison sentence.

Judge Paul Sloan QC told him: "You will appreciate that a substantial custodial sentence is inevitable in the circumstances of this case."

Walker, who is remanded in custody, has also admitted assaulting another police officer and a woman.
