A WOMAN knifed at her workplace has been released from hospital.
The victim, in her 20s, was stabbed in the chest in the car park of EDF Energy, Doxford International Business Park, on Friday.
A 29-year-old man, thought to be known to her, was arrested shortly after the incident.
He remains in hospital under police supervision while he receives treatment.
An investigation is still ongoing as to what happened during the attack which has left her colleagues at the call centre traumatised.
Police armed with tasers were called to the scene at around 2pm and a Megane was towed away as part of the investigation.
Colleagues were assured by bosses that their safety was of paramount importance and officers stayed at the scene for the rest of the day.
