A PENSIONER is among three men arrested for spraying racist graffiti on a takeaway’s wall.
The men, aged 74, 47 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated criminal damage after the attack on Tuesday evening.
Police were called after the offensive graffiti was found covering the front of Albany Spice takeaway, in Brandy Lane, Albany.
The men were quizzed by police and have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Inspector Paul Stewart, of Washington Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Racist behaviour simply won’t be tolerated and we will take robust action against those suspected of being responsible to make sure offenders are brought to justice.”
