POLICE are appealing for help to trace the owners of suspected stolen property during a house search in Sunderland.

The items – a distinctive bowl and a bike – were recovered during the search of a house at Malings Close in Hendon

Some items from the address have already been confirmed as stolen and police are appealing for help to trace the owners of the property recovered. The bowl is blue coloured with fruit painted on it, while the bike is a grey Genesis with white on the front.

Men, aged 42 and 41, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and are on bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the property is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 483 23/02/14.

The property was recovered during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling those suspected of being involved in theft and burglary, and the receiving and handling stolen property.
