High value vintage bike stolen in burglary at Sunderland home.

A VINTAGE motorbike worth thousands of pounds has been stolen from a Sunderland home.

Thieves broke into the property in Whitby Avenue, Seaburn, overnight on Thursday October 2 stealing the high value vintage Velocette .

Gardening equipment including a Hayter Sprit 41 petrol lawnmower and Stihl f545 petrol strimmer was also taken.

Neighbourhood Inspector Tony Carty said: “The motorbike is a vintage bike that was in the process of being restored and the owner would very much like it returned. I would urge anyone who may have information about where it may be or any information that can help with our enquiries to get in contact.”

Police are appealing to anyone with information on the burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen goods to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
