BURGLARY and assault were among the recent catalogue of crime in Hendon.

Sunderland East Neighbourhood Police shared the list at the latest meeting with residents.

Twenty-one crimes were recorded in the Long Streets over five weeks.

A firework damaged a letterbox, and a house was damaged when an object was thrown from the back lane.

Two houses in the same street were damaged, one during a domestic incident and another when a window was broken.

Burglars broke into an unoccupied house to steal metal. A vehicle was damaged after an altercation.

There was an assault after a domestic incident, and thieves stole from a house during a party.

An assault causing actual bodily harm took place, burglars got into a house after the back door was left unlocked, and another house was raided after a window was left open.

A bike was stolen and thieves broke into a garage.

Two drugs warrants were executed, and drugs were found after a stop-and-search.

The next meeting takes place on December 19, at 6.30pm at the Salvation Army Citadel.
