THE funeral of grandmother Pamela Jackson is set to take place tomorrow.
A nationwide search was launched for the 55-year-old when she went missing from her Chester-le-Street home in March.
Officers from Durham Constabulary worked alongside West Yorkshire Police to search moorland and canals. They eventually discovered her body on Rishworth Moor, close to the M62, last month.
Adrian Muir, 50, from Calder Terrace, Halifax, was charged with her murder before her body was found.
He appeared at Newcastle Crown Court via video link and pleaded not guilty to the charge. His trial will begin on August 29.
Mrs Jackson’s inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday. A post-mortem examination found Mrs Jackson died of head injuries.
The funeral is being held at Mountsett Crematorium in Stanley at 11.45am.
