A MAN assaulted outside a city nightspot is improving in hospital.
Though he is still critically ill, doctors say the 48-year-old, injured in the incident outside Ttonic, has been moved from the intensive care unit to the high dependency unit at the RVI.
Police are today renewing their appeal for witnesses to the assault, which happened just before 2am, on April 12.
Following inquiries officers say there were a number of people in the area at the time of the assault who have still not come forward.
Detective sergeant Alan Cairns said: “We are appealing for members of the public who were in Vine Place near Ttonic club at the time.”
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and has been bailed.
