A LANDLADY who admitted being behind a fake heist on her social club failed to turn up in court as she bids to change her plea.
Kim Collins claimed she had been bound and gagged by a masked raider, and was found tied to a chair by a cleaner in the Big Club, Boldon Colliery.
Police tried to find the intruder after the 42-year-old said he might still be in the building.
Collins later admitted to making it up after being inspired by television show CSI, and pleaded guilty to wasting police time at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in November.
However, when she was due to be sentenced, the court heard that Collins, of Station Road, Boldon Colliery, wanted to change her plea to not guilty
A hearing was set for yesterday, but a sick note was handed in to the court saying she was not well enough to attend.
The hearing was rearranged for Tuesday, May 28.
