Drug farm uncovered in Murton home

A MAN has been arrested after 20 cannabis plants were found in a house.

Police discovered the plants as they searched a home in Ripon Terrace in Murton.

The officers had been granted a warrant by magistrates.

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and is due to be questioned at Peterlee Police Station.

Seaham Neighbourhood Policing Team also removed equipment used to grow the plants from the address and are continuing to carry out inquiries.
