POLICE have issued an alert after potentially harmful milk samples were stolen from outside a property in Durham.
The milk, which is contained in 30ml bottles, contains a preservative which turns the milk blue and the bottles display a “do not drink” warning.
It is believed two boxes – one containing 60 samples, the other 34 – were taken from outside a house in Eden Terrace between 1.30 and 2.30pm today.
The samples which were destined for analysis by National Milk Records were awaiting collection by a courier.
Anyone who drinks the milk should consume plenty of water and seek medical attention.
Please contact Durham Constabulary on 101 if you have any information regarding the theft of the milk samples or their whereabouts.
