A DAD had his finger bitten off during a fight at a school nativity play.
The 32-year-old was waiting for pupils at Harton Primary School, South Shields, to start their show when another dad stormed in and attacked him as the children prepared in another part of the building.
Parents watched in horror as he sunk his teeth into the man’s hand, tearing off his finger.
Teachers had to pull the parents apart.
The brawl is believed to be have been the result of a long-running feud.
The victim was taken to hospital where surgeons are believed to have reattached his finger.
A 39-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed.
