A YOB has been banned from drinking in public after wreaking havoc in the community where he lived.
Dean Groenewald has been slapped with a criminal antisocial behaviour order (Crasbo) after causing a catalogue of trouble.
The two-year Crasbo against the 21-year-old, of Ferndale Avenue, East Boldon, was handed down at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court.
It follows Groenewald’s conviction in relation to a number of offences, including assault, criminal damage, drunk and disorderly and burglary.
He received a 30-month prison sentence at Newcastle Crown Court on June 24.
The order will take effect on his release and bans him from being drunk in a public place; being in possession of an open container of alcohol in a public place; acting or inciting others to act in an anti-social manner and from entering the West Boldon and Boldon Colliery areas.
