Couple suffer injuries in gang knife raid on home

A COUPLE have been left with serious suspected knife injuries after a gang attack at a house.

The incident happened on Saturday December 15 at about 5.20am when four men burst into the house in Railway Terrace, New Herrington, and attacked the occupants, a man in his 40s and woman in her 30s.

The man and woman were injured and required hospital treatment. Their injuries, which were not life-threatening, are believed to have been caused by a knife.

The men left in a red car with blacked out windows.

Detective Inspector Dave English said: “We know incidents like this can cause concern to the local community and officers are in the area both to carry out enquiries into the incident and to reassure local residents.

“We’re appealing for anyone who may have information about a red car with blacked out windows and would ask anyone who does to get in contact.”
