This is the woman police would like to speak to about the theft of a suitcase and items worth £850 from a train between Bristol and Durham.

Officers from British Transport Police have released CCTV images of the woman following the theft on board the 17.00 Bristol Temple Meads to Edinburgh service on Saturday, June 13.

Investigating Officer Pc Wayne Brown said: “The victim boarded the train at Bristol Temple Meads station, and placed their black Ricardo suitcase in the luggage rack in Coach F. Upon the trains arrival into Edinburgh, the victim realised her case was missing.

“After reviewing CCTV, a woman is seen leaving the train at Durham with the victim’s bag.

“I am now releasing images of a woman I would like to trace and speak to in connection with this incident. I believe she may have key information which could assist the investigation.

“If you recognise the woman pictured, who has a distinctive hair cut which is collar length on top, shaven at the sides and back and dyed pink, or know her current whereabouts, please contact us.”
