Police would like to trace this man after a phone was stolen from a display table at Sunderland railway station.

POLICE would like to speak to this man after a mobile phone was stolen from a display table at Sunderland railway station.

The man was seen arriving at the station by Metro from South Hylton shortly before the theft took place at about 4.20pm on September 18.

Pc Nick Cannon said: “The victim, a 45-year-old sales representative from Peterlee, was working in the station for an accident and claims company and put his phone, a blue Nokia, on a display table at the entrance while he spoke to someone.

A man walked past, grabbed his phone, then disappeared into a crowd of shoppers in the station. The victim gave chase but the man disappeared.”
