Police are hoping to track down a man wearing camouflage face paint who punched a teenager in a Sunderland street.
At around 8.30pm on Saturday, July 25, a 16-year-old boy was punched in the face by a man in Park Lane near the Ivy House pub, close to Sunderland city centre.
Police and paramedics attended and the injured teenager was then taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital with a minor facial injury.
The offender had left the area before officers arrived on the scene.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident and asking for the public’s help in tracing the man responsible.
He is described as white, with black hair, around 6ft tall, of slim build and aged in his early 20s.
He was wearing camouflage face paint, black trousers, a black jumper and Timberland boots at the time of the attack.
