Brothers charged after drug raids in Easington

BROTHERS from Easington were due to appear in court today after arrests made in a dawn raid.

Robert Anthony Hall, aged 40, from Easington and his brother, Thomas James Hall, 35, from Easington were arrested alongside David Thompson, 27, from North Shields after Durham Constabulary raided homes yesterday.

The trio have been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs and are due to appear at Consett Magistrates’ Court today.

A fourth man arrested, a 41-year-old man from Easington, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

All were arrested early on Wednesday as part of Operation Madrid, a joint operation between Durham Constabulary and SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency).
