A BOXER with his sights set on competing for Great Britain has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on five charges.
Declan Fusco has pleaded not guilty to common assault and actual bodily harm, two charges of criminal damage and a breach of a restraining order.
The 22-year-old denied the allegations when he appeared before Peterlee Magistrates’ Court.
It is said the charges arise after a police investigation into a disturbance during the weekend of September 14 and 15.
The case was committed to Durham Crown Court by magistrates.
Fusco, of Rydal Crescent, Peterlee, is due to appear at the crown court on October 4.
