Benefit fraud trial

A MAN accused of being a benefit cheat will stand trial.

Darren Graham was at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of benefit fraud.

The 20-year-old allegedly worked more than 16 hours a week while receiving Jobseekers’ Allowance between June and September last year.

He pleaded not guilty and a trial was arranged on June 18. Graham, of Hunter Avenue in Ushaw Moor, County Durham, was granted unconditional bail until then.
