THE man at the centre of a police armed raid on a Sunderland home has handed himself in.
Armed police officers swooped on a house in St Luke’s Road, Pennywell on Monday in search of a wanted man.
Officers carrying weapons including guns and stun guns targeted the address after being issued with an arrest warrant for him.
However, he was not at the address and the hunt for him contined.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police, who would not confirm the man’s name or what he was wanted for, said he later handed himself in at a police station and has been bailed without arrest.
