DETECTIVES investigating the death of Gemma Finnigan are appealing to a cyclist to come forward.
On Friday, September 13, the body of Gemma, 24, was found in her home in Church View, Boldon.
A murder investigation was launched and Daniel William Johnson, aged 32, of the same address, was arrested.
On September 14, he charged with her murder and is currently remanded in custody.
Detectives investigating the case want to identify and speak to a cyclist who was in the area around 3.30am on Friday, September 13.
CCTV from the area shows a person in a light coloured top cycling near to Church view. Detectives are appealing for the cyclist to come forward and speak to police as they may have information that could help with the enquiry.
