POLICE have charged 23 more people after trouble broke out following last April’s Tyne and Wear derby.
Trouble flared in Newcastle city centre after Sunderland’s 3-0 win at St James’s Park.
All those charged are due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court over the coming weeks. It brings the total number of people charged so far to 49.
They are subject to bail conditions preventing them from attending any Newcastle United football matches.
