A COURSE is singing out for new members as it launches its sessions.

Healing Opportunities (Hops) wellbeing service, based at The Quaker House in Roker Park Road, Sunderland, will host the Singing for Health and Happiness course as part of its range of classes which start on Monday.

Manager Lesley Barefoot said: “Singing is a fabulous way to get those lungs working and improve breathing. It gives an overall sense of wellbeing and lifts the spirits, as well as being a great way to meet new people.

“All classes are for beginners and no prior experience is necessary, so if you want to find your voice then get in touch.”

The group starts on Tuesday and will run between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Other new courses include singing for fun, bubbles, balms and bath bombs, herbs for health and healing, yoga for babies and juniors, and National Childbirth Trust courses.

The charity provides complementary therapies for relief from stress, pain or anxiety, with discounts for carers, referrals from GPs, Washington Mind and Sunderland Mind.
