A Wearside couple have spoken of how their wedding day plans have been thrown into chaos after the closure of a pub and restaurant.
The Echo has reported on concerned couples who had hoped to have their reception events at The Copt Hill, in Seaham Road, Houghton.

But the venue closed unexpectedly last week, with bride and grooms now trying to claw back money they had put down as deposits.
Ingrid Braley, 30, and her fiancé Chris Johnson, 37, had hoped to spend their wedding day in July 2017 with family and friends at the pub after they spent their first date there back in 2012.
“We’re really in the dark about everything,” said Ingrid, who works at Fenwick department store, in Newcastle.
“I only found out it has closed the other day and because we booked it so far in advance I got worried.
“I’ve emailed and rang the owner, but can’t get through. It’s horrible.”
The Houghton couple are now looking at alternative venues to host the reception, as well as hoping to get back the £100 which Ingrid had put down as a deposit.
“Our ceremony is at Biddick Hall and we wanted to go to the Copt Hill after, because it’s got sentimental value for both of us,” said Ingrid.
“But we can’t wait around to see if the place will open back up when we aren’t being told anything.
“We don’t know the reasons why, but the way we’ve been left without any details like this is disgusting.
“You’d think the owner would’ve made it a priority.”
Despite attempts by Echo reporters to contact the owners of the Copt Hill, both by phone and visits to the pub, no-one was available for comment.
