A WASHINGTON singer has made it to the final of Britain’s Got Talent.
Operatic singing group Collabro, which includes Jamie Lambert, have impressed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.
On Monday night they again wowed in the semi-finals of the contest, as the five-strong group brought audience members and judges to their feet with an emotional performance of Bring Him Home from the musical Les Misérables.
Alesha and David described the rendition as “perfect” and Amanda said the group could be the ITV talent show’s champions.
After winning the public vote, they’ll take part in the final on Saturday, to compete for a prize of £250,000 and the chance to perform at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
Jamie’s mum Lorraine, who is chief executive of South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, said: “This is such a great start to their career, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for them to build a career in what they’ve always wanted to do.
“The amount of people who’ve really got behind the boys has been amazing.
“This is a wonderful chance for them, and they want to thank everyone for their support.”
