A COMMUNITY centre is hosting a fund-raising event.

Roseby Road Wellbeing Centre in Horden is having a coffee morning on Thursday from 10am to noon to help raise cash for a breast cancer campaign.

Amy McKenna, community project officer for County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust health improvement services at Roseby Road, said: “Breast cancer affects millions of people worldwide, and we at Roseby Road Wellbeing Centre are eager to support the breast cancer campaign in their fight to eliminate it.”

Roseby Road is managed by Easington Colliery-based Healthworks, the NHS foundation in partnership with the Dr Joseph Chandy Charitable Trust, Northumbrian Water and Durham County Council.
