A SUNDERLAND triathlete has completed a hat-trick of events to raise money for charity.
Claire Cook, a 32 year-old kitchen designer, took part in Tri Together Glasgow last Sunday to complete a trio of challenges for Leonard Cheshire Disability.
Claire, who has Raynaud’s Syndrome, took on the challenge to raise awareness and support for the UK disability charity, which included two other endurance events: Tri Together in London; and the Great North Run.
She said: “I am so proud to have completed my challenges for Leonard Cheshire Disability.
“It is a charity that is very close to my heart and I am thrilled to be raising money for its work with disabled people. I know first-hand the impact a disability can have, and this is a way of helping people who have got it a lot worse than me.
“Taking part in Tri Together Glasgow was amazing. The support I got was second to none. I would recommend Tri Together to anyone considering a triathlon as the atmosphere was incredible.”
