Stars from two of the UK’s biggest reality TV shows are swapping King’s Road and the Sugar Hut for Sunderland.

James ‘Arg’ Argent and Mario Falcone from The Only Way is Essex (Towie) will be joined by Made in Chelsea (MIC) heartthrobs Alex Mytton and Oliver Proudlock to celebrate the festive season at the Stadium of Light.

The reality stars will be taking it in turns to host a series of informal party nights on Fridays and Saturdays during December as part of the Stadium’s bumper festive schedule for 2015.

MIC’s Oliver said: “It’s going to be a real cool night. I love the North East and I’m looking forward to celebrating the festive season at the Stadium of Light.”

Towie’s James added: “I can’t wait to have a bit of a boogie with the people of Sunderland and kick off Christmas in true Essex style.

To celebrate the imminent arrival of the four fan favourites, 1879 Events Management is running a number of special offers for bookings made before August 8.

This includes a complimentary half bottle of wine per person, as well as a free pair of tickets for an SAFC home game when booking for a group of 20 people or more.

The offer extends to the Stadium of Light’s entire seasonal schedule, including the MIC and TOWIE events, as well as other highlights such as performances by some of the UK’s leading tributes to the Jersey Boys, Take That, Michael Buble and Olly Murs and a series of Casino and Cabaret Nights with tributes to Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack.

Gary Hutchinson, commercial director at Sunderland AFC, said: “Last year the Stadium of Light welcomed a record-breaking 15,000 festive revellers, with many events already sold out by the end of the summer.

“This year we’re encouraging people to book early to avoid disappointment, and expect the evenings featuring James, Mario, Oliver and Alex to be particularly popular.”

Towie's Mario Falcone will also help the party season go with a swing in Sunderland.
