RUNNERS have the chance to clinch a place in the Great North Run and raise cash for youngsters.
The Children’s Foundation (TCF), a charity which supports disadvantaged youngsters across the North East, has some places available for the annual half-marathon on Sunday, September 7.
To take part on behalf of the foundation, a £55 registration fee will be required and £225 minimum in sponsorship.
All those who run with Team TCF will receive hints and tips on training and fund-raising ideas.
They will also be given a TCF running vest and sponsorship pack, and the charity will even create online fundraising pages for runners.
After the run, those taking part can go along, with family and friends, to TCF’s refreshment marquee in the Charity Village for their goody bags, tea, coffee, snacks and a sports massage.
