CYCLISTS got on their bikes to raise funds for terminally-ill children.
Sue Hill led friends and family on a 20-mile ride to raise funds for charity Wish Upon A Star.
The annual event was run in memory of her late husband, Trevor Slater.
The 40-strong clan cycled through Rainton Bridge, Washington, to the coast and back again and were sponsored by the Mill Pub in Houghton and IntraHealth.
Sue, from Houghton, said: “So far we’ve managed to raise £4,500. Trevor died in a motorbike accident in 2006 and we raise money every year in his memory.”
The charity, which specialises in granting wishes to terminally-ill children, has granted 14,500 wishes since it started 20 years ago.
