Celebrate autumn at hospice

Have your say

THE best of autumn is being celebrated this weekend with a Hospice Harvest event.

St Cuthbert’s Hospice is holding its second annual event at its Park House Road grounds, Durham, on Saturday, which will include a demonstration from Northside Falconry’s birds of prey.

The charity, which boasts an enthusiastic team of garden volunteers, will sell fresh plants and produce grown in the hospice’s greenhouse.

Visitors can also enjoy freshly cooked food, a raffle, apple bobbing, hook-a-duck and a “guess the weight of the pumpkin” contest.

It takes place from 11am to 2pm. Entry is free but donations are welcome.
