This week’s featured snapper Derek Nicholson took up photography after a bout of ill health four years ago.
WE’VE got something a little bit different this week, thanks to a dynamic selection of street art images from Derek Nicholson
Derek, 61, suffered a heart attack and stroke four years ago, and as part of his recovery was invited to Herrington Burn photography club.
Since then, photography has become a passion for Derek – he’s bought a new Nikon D5100 camera – and as you can see from these photos, it’s really helping him get out and about. Many thanks to Derek for taking part in Friday Photos.
As you can see from Derek’s selection, we’re looking for any theme or type of photography, and photographers of any age or level of experience.
Maybe there’s an interesting story behind your photography or you’ve snapped something unique – whatever it is, we want to see it!
* Would you like to have your work featured in Friday Photos? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We want photos on any theme, whether it’s landscapes or people, events or wildlife. All you have to do is send some examples of your work – about 12 or 13 – and some details about yourself – such as your age, name, occupation, interests and hobbies – plus a photograph of yourself. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or send photos on a disc to Sunderland Echo, Friday Photos, Features Department, Echo House, Pennywell, Sunderland, SR4 9ER. Sorry, but discs can’t be returned.
IMPORTANT: We’ll only be able to print photos that are of a high resolution. Please keep this in mind before sending any work.
Taken a great shot but don’t have enough images for Friday Photos? Send it to email@example.com and it could appear on the letters page or Page 2, where we print readers’ photos every day.
