WEARSIDERS are being urged to take the plunge and do something out of the ordinary for charity.
The Stroke Association is offering people the chance to do a tandem skydive to help raise money for the charity.
All training takes place on the day at the Durham airfield and fund-raisers will be harnessed to an experienced instructor at all times.
The jump will be from at least 10,000 feet, reaching speeds of 120mph.
At the end of the jump, participants receive a certificate to say they have completed it.
The event takes place on Saturday, September 8.
